Public libraries may provide specific computer software, hearing induction loops and other assistive and adaptive technologies for library users who have vision, hearing and learning difficulties.

Carlow Libraries branches provide a suite of computer software and equipment, along with other assistive and adaptive technologies for library users who have vision, hearing and learning difficulties. These include:

  • C-Pens;
  • Touch, Type, Read, Spell software;
  • Lexia computer programmes;
  • Clickatel tablets, with accessible games and learning systems;
  • Ease of access computer mice
