Healthy Carlow and Healthy Kilkenny come together for wellbeing campaign with KCLR FM

Over the next six weeks, KCLR FM will be running a series of interviews on Eimear Ni Bhraonáin’s morning talk show KCLR Live, covering a range of topics aiming to support your health and wellbeing during these difficult times.

The campaign is being run by Healthy Carlow and Healthy Kilkenny. We recognise that as a result of to the Covid 19 pandemic and associated restrictions, a lot of people have found themselves facing new challenges, and through this campaign we will discuss topics and provide advice, information and signposting to local services that will help support the people of Carlow and Kilkenny. We will hear from a range of local services who will explore how the pandemic and restrictions may be making us feel, what we can do to look after our wellbeing and where we can go for support.

The campaign starts on Thursday 28 May at 10.20am, as Suzi Doyle, Healthy Carlow Coordinator and Janette Boran, Healthy Kilkenny Coordinator talk to Eimear about what will be coming up. Topics over the next six weeks will include looking after your mental health, supporting young people including Leaving Cert students, staying active and playing with young families, coping at home and helping in the community. Throughout the series we will be myth busting, identifying where we can get accurate information and signposting where to go for additional support.

Wellbeing initiatives right across Government are being collated as part of the In This Together campaign, and that information can be easily found on Gov.ie/together.
