Carlow County Council, Carlow Town Council and Muinebheag Town Council holds a variety of public meetings in its role as a forum for public representatives. These meetings are convened by your elected Councillors. You are entitled to attend any Council meeting. To gain access to a meeting, you need a pass. To obtain a pass, contact your local Councillor as each one is issued two passes for each meeting. Monthly, Annual and Budget meetings are held throughout the year.

Diary of Annual and Budget Meetings
- Annual Meetings
This meeting is being held on the last Monday of June each year. The election of Cathaoirleach and the Leas Cathaoirleach for the ensuing year takes place at this meeting.
- Budget Meetings
This meeting is held in late November or early December ( within a period prescribed by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government ). The yearly budget is debated and agreed on during this meeting.
