  Notice is hereby given to the public that they can now make submissions or observations on any quarry operating in their area. In accordance with the 2010 Planning and Development Act all quarries in County Carlow will be reviewed by the Planning Authority in nine months following 15th November, 2011 in relation to their compliance with certain planning and related environmental requirements and the Planning Authority will have regard to all submissions made by the public in relation to such issues.

Invitation for Submissions or Observations

Submissions or observations may be made in writing to the Planning Authority in relation to any quarry in its administrative area, by any person, not later than 6 weeks after the date of publication of this notice. Submissions or observations can be sent in writing addressed to:

or by e-mail to quarrysubmissions@carlowcoco.ie.

Submissions or observations regarding any quarry shall include the name and contact details of the person making the submission or observation and shall be received by the Planning Department no later than 4pm on Thursday 26th January, 2012.

No fee shall be payable in relation to such submission or observation and these submissions or observations will be considered by the Planning Authority.
