ArtLinks

ArtLinks is a new art resource for creative practitioners, 18 years and over, who are resident in the administrative areas of County Carlow, County Kilkenny, County Waterford, County Wexford and County Wicklow. ArtLinks is coordinated by the ArtLinks Director working with the five County Arts Offices. The ArtLinks programme is based on several years consultation with local creative practitioners, specialist working groups with ongoing research and is supported by the Irish Arts Council.

ArtLinks aims to both provide a range of professional services to all creative practitioners and highlight their creative endeavours in this region to a wider audience.

ArtLinks Register Now

ArtLinks is user driven. Thus your involvement is central in making this initiative develop and succeed for all creative practitioners in the five counties. We encourage all amateur and professional creative practitioners to register.

Artlinks benefits include:

  1. Receive ArtLinks ebulletins, qualify for priority booking and reduced fees for many ArtLinks courses.
  2. Don't have a website. Not a problem. When you join up your registration details will create your online artists profile page that you can easily update anytime. If you choose to upload a picture your profile image will randomly feature on the ArtLinks homepage.
  3. Post your own event, exhibition, meeting and notices on the ArtLinks noticeboard. Network with practitioners in your region via the forums.
  4. Be eligible to apply for upcoming new ArtLinks bursaries.

Professional Development

Continuing professional development pertains to the skills, knowledge and understanding that creative practitioners need in order to develop their work practice and generate an income from this practice, on a life-long basis, beyond their initial creative training. The challenge of pursuing and sustaining a career as a creative practitioner lies in balancing the business of being a practitioner with the practice of being a creative practitioner.
