19th January, 2012 - Thursday

Carlow County Council wish to advise consumers in Carlow Town that due to essential maintenance works being carried out on the network, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 9 p.m. on Thursday 19th January and 2 a.m. on Friday 20th January, 2012 affecting consumers in the O’Brien Road from Deerpark to Hacketstown Road area. Consumers are advised to store water for use during this time. Also, consumers on the Dublin Road, Oakpark Road, Oaklawns, Green Lane, Highfield, Dr. Cullen Road may experience loss in water pressure. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


17th January, 2012 - Tuesday

To facilitate works associated with the Carlow Watermain Rehabilitation Scheme, it will be necessary to turn off the trunk main supply on Browneshill Road from 10pm Wednesday 18th January 2012 to 6am on Thursday 19th January 2012. This trunk main services areas which include Browneshill Road, Staplestown Road, Fairgreen, New Oak, Hanover, Monacurragh, Kilkenny Road, Burrin Road, Green Road, Paupish Lane, Blackbog Road, Mortarstown, Burrin Street/Pembroke, O'Brien Road and Granby Row. Carlow County Council wishes to apologise in advance for an inconvenience caused.

    The Northern Area Office would like to inform all that the Thomas Traynor Rd in Tullow has been re-opened and that diversions are no longer in place.

    Please note that flooding of the River Slaney at Tullowbeg, Tullow has occurred and a detour has been put in place. Motorists are requested to travel with extreme caution. The N81 at Rathvilly is on flood alert and monitoring is taking place. All Council resources have been deployed.
