All of our library branches have sensory equipment in stock which can be used in the library space. Tullow library also has a sensory wall near the children’s area. Social stories are currently available in Carlow and Tullow branches – please ask a member of staff.
Autism Friendly Initiatives
Public libraries may provide autism specific events such as sensory story times, social stories, literacy, art appreciation and film screenings. They may also provide quiet, clutter free areas to make libraries welcoming to people with autism and their carers.
