Public libraries may provide podcasts on relevant topics which library users can listen to on the library podcast page or download and save to a tablet, laptop or other device.
A number of podcasts have been created by Carlow Libraries and are available here. These include “Talking Newspaper”, a podcast created in collaboration with The Carlow Nationalist and Carlow Volunteer Centre, in which articles are read from the week’s newspaper, especially aimed at those with visual impairment.
As part of Carlow’s Decade of Centenaries Programme Carlow Libraries and Carlow County Museum also released a number of podcasts dealing with the story of the 1913 to 1923 period.
